Originally created for the “Nuestros Santos” Exhibit at Wonderland SF in Spring of 2018. I have the original painting as well as prints available.

Janelle Monáe has been doing incredible work for a number of years. In early 2018, she came out with the Dirty Computer visual album and it just simply knocked it out of the park. Daring, unapologetic and gorgeous. She’s a true rock star and artist. This portrait was painted from compiling multiple press and fashion shoot photos into one image. The pose, the power suit, the hairstyle, the jewelry were all chosen to honor and reflect the multitudes one person can contain: spirituality, creativity, passion, ambition and queerness.

The signed prints are available in three sizes: 8x10, 11x14 and 16 x 20. The painting was professionally photographed by Almac Camera in order to capture the color accuracy and clarity of the brushwork in amazing detail.

8x10 and 11x14 prints are professionally packaged with hard backing and clear sleeve. They will be shipped flat.
